Internships
Grey Line employs interns in both our Film and Publishing
Departments.
Applicants must be currently enrolled students in an Undergraduate or Graduate Program.
Grey Line Entertainment offers a competitive, semester-length internship, for qualified students who may wish to pursue a career in the Entertainment
or Publishing Industries. The internship will be most relevant to students interested in producing, writing,
editing, development, and management, literary or otherwise. The Grey Line internship is available in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters of each year.
The Grey Line internship may require 4-6 hours of work per week, most of which may be completed away from the office.
The Grey Line intern will assist the company in all levels of production, from initial screening of received projects to development before submission. The intern may expect to be involved in the organization, editing, production, distribution, and promotion of projects to be produced during his or her tenure. This internship aims to provide excellent experience for students eventually seeking employment in either industry.
Some intern duties will depend on the experience and interests of the intern. Duties may include some of the following:
Project evaluation
Project development
Editing
Logging received material into a central database
Clerical and organizational responsibilities
In addition to routine duties to be completed each week, the intern may be expected to take responsibility for one or more larger projects, to be developed and realized over the course of the semester. In this and other business, the intern may be asked to draw on his/her language and analytic abilities, knowledge of library and research methods, computer skills, and organizational proficiency. The company may also actively seek the intern's insight on a variety of topics.
Please note that although our main office is based out of California, we accept and allow interns to work from out of state, providing a unique experience for those who do not normally have an opportunity to work in this industry due to
location.
Students interested in the Grey Line internship are required to submit a letter of interest and resume.
